Tara Ghorashi co-founded Morning Star over 30 years ago with the desire to provide quality childcare for the community. She has created a loving, nurturing environment for the children and families in Knoxville, while maintaining excellence in the field of early childhood education.
Our teachers are highly trained professionals in early childhood education. All lead teachers have a minimum of a child development associate’s degree (CDA), while many have their bachelor’s degree in a related field of study. In addition, teachers are required to obtain 30 hours of professional development each year and are required to be trained in pediatric First Aid and CPR. A few specially trained teachers assist in our curriculum development as Pedagogical Coaches, and we also have an alterista (art teacher), Spanish and German language educators, and a P.E. teacher on staff.
