Morningstar is fabulous!! Both my kids go there and love it (they often ask me to pick them up late so they can stay as long as possible!). We have been there for three years and have been part of their daycare, preK, kindergarten, after school, and summer camp programs. Over these three years, there has been very little teacher turnover, which is rare compared to our previous experiences at other daycares. The teachers are absolutely wonderful! In daycare and preK, they follow student-led learning – for instance, my daughter’s class has been very interested in storms, so they’ve been integrating their teaching of hurricanes and tornados into art, science, reading, writing, etc. Their after school program is awesome – it is also very flexible in that they are open on various public school holidays and on half days, which is very helpful for working parents/caregivers. Their summer camps are also great, and involve field trips each week, which are always a highlight for my kids. The outdoor area of Morningstar has a huge playground, field for playing soccer/football, a basketball court, and also a shallow swimming pool, which they use all summer. Their kindergarten is also amazing as is the teacher, Ms. Christine. The class is small, which provides a lot of one on one attention. My son developed a love of reading and math in Ms. Christine’s class and was very prepared for his next year in public school. Lastly, the management are all very kind, caring, and attentive, greeting us each morning when we arrive. They are always very responsive to emails, requests for changes in schedule, etc. Overall, I highly recommend Morningstar. I wish we had found it earlier!!
