Parent Testimonials
Our experience with the kindergarten class at Morning Star has been
nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked through the
doors, we were greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that
instantly made both us and our child feel at ease. The classroom
environment is vibrant and engaging, filled with colorful educational
materials that stimulate young minds and foster a love for learning.
My child’s kindergarten teacher, Ms. Christine, is exceptional. Her
patience, enthusiasm, and dedication to each student’s individual
growth are truly commendable. She creates a nurturing environment
where children feel safe to express themselves and explore new
concepts. The curriculum is well-rounded and thoughtfully designed,
incorporating a perfect blend of academic learning, creative arts, and
physical activities. It’s clear that a lot of effort goes into making
each day exciting and educational.
We have noticed significant improvements in our child’s social,
emotional, and cognitive skills since joining the kindergarten class.
The emphasis on cooperative play, problem-solving activities, and
hands-on learning experiences has been instrumental in developing his
confidence and independence. The weekly themes and interactive
projects keep the children engaged and eager to come to school every
day.
Communication with parents is excellent. We receive regular updates on
our child’s progress, upcoming events, and classroom activities
through Class Dojo. The teacher’s openness to discuss any concerns and
her proactive approach in involving parents in the learning process
make us feel like valued partners in our child’s education.
Kavin’s Preschool Class Experience
Our experience with the preschool class at Morning Star has been
equally outstanding. The transition from his last school in Illinois
to a new school in Tennessee was seamless, thanks to the incredibly
supportive teachers and the thoughtfully structured program that
caters to the developmental needs of young children.
The preschool teachers, Ms. Kelci and Ms. Tia, have a remarkable
ability to connect with our child. Their nurturing nature and creative
teaching methods make learning fun and accessible. Activities are
diverse, ranging from storytelling and sensory play to early literacy
and numeracy skills. My son comes home with lots of new things to talk
about every day.
The preschool classroom is a wonderland for young learners. It’s
filled with engaging learning stations, cozy reading corners, and a
variety of art supplies that inspire creativity. The outdoor play area
is equally impressive, offering plenty of opportunities for physical
development and imaginative play.
Our child has thrived socially and emotionally in this environment.
The emphasis on social interactions, sharing, and teamwork has helped
him develop essential social skills. The gentle guidance from Ms. Tia
in navigating emotions and building friendships has been invaluable.
The preschool program also values parental involvement. Regular
updates and detailed daily reports ensure we are always informed and
involved in our child’s early developmental journey.
To conclude, our children love Morning Star. All the hard work the
teachers have put in shows every single day. We appreciate their
dedication and commitment to outstanding educational and development
programs.

My daughter absolutely loved attending Kindergarten with Ms. Christine at Morning Star. She was not quite ready for the size of a public school and asked to have Ms. Christine for class instead. The small class size allows for more opportunities for growth, instruction and field trips that you can’t accomplish in public schools. She transitioned to public school for first grade without any issues at all.

My son Reed attended Kindergarten at Morning Star about 4 years ago. He had a fantastic and memorable experience that he still recalls fondly to this day. They provided him with opportunities to explore his world and connect real experiences with academic learning, which instilled in him a lasting appreciation for school. He continues to do well and has remained ahead of the curve in core subjects such as math and reading. He speaks of it so fondly that other children say they wish they had gotten to go there!

We highly recommend Kindergarten at Morning Star. I have seen my child grow leaps and bounds this year. He has had the advantage of getting individualized instruction due to the small class size. His confidence and excitement around reading and math continues to grow. Ms. Christine has developed a challenging and thorough program that keeps my child engaged and eager to explore. He has especially enjoyed Spanish class and many field trips they take. Giving him an extra year at Morning Star has been the best decision we could have made.

What we appreciate most about the Kindergarten program at Morning Star is the individualized approach to education. Both in academics and in social/emotional development, our son has received the individual coaching he needs to grow into his best. The small class size allows for creative learning, education that is tailored to the interests and strengths of the group, team building, critical thinking, group decision, and one-on-one time that is hard to find in a larger classroom. It has allowed the teacher to go beyond the required curriculum to plant the first seeds of a love of learning about the many facets of our world. Our son’s teacher has provided feedback and perspective about our son that has helped us as parents to reinforce his learning and development at home. This program encourages a partnership between parents and the teacher to help the students thrive in all areas of development and learning and to establish them for their next steps to education.

We are very pleased with the decision we made to send our son to Morning Star for Kindergarten. We felt he was more than ready for first grade and he was ahead of others in his class. Ms. Christine was a wonderful teacher. She was always attentive and interested in our son and seemed to have an easier time motivating him to perform his schoolwork. We would highly recommend Morning Star to other parents and would be confident they would receive the excellent care we did!

Morning Star was an absolute blessing to our family! We loved it so much we decided to enroll our son into Ms. Christine’s Kindergarten class. Again, another blessing. The small and personal class size, the amazing guidance from Ms. Christine and the interactive education was beyond our expectations! Our son is excelling in all his classes and is even part of the elite math group at his school. He was beyond prepared for first grade and we are forever grateful for our Morning Star family.

Kindergarten at Morning Star was an excellent experience for our child. She was able to receive individualized attention and focused lessons for her to excel. We enjoyed the diversity despite the small class size and the opportunity for her to learn about many different cultures firsthand was wonderful.Ms. Christine’s dedication to making the classroom environment exciting and fun was greatly appreciated. Our child was eager to go to school each day, a true testament to her exceptional teacher.

Kindergarten at Morning Star was awesome! My son Jason had an incredible year and he learned so much there. Because of the small size of the class, it really felt like a family and each child received individual attention tailored for growth. Jason grew so much academically and socially last year. He became more mature and independent – I am so proud and impressed! Ms. Christine is such a wonderful teacher, with great patience, love, and care for her students. Super creative too! I feel so grateful to have Jason in her class.

My daughter attended Morning Star from 12 weeks of age, all the way through Pre-K. My husband and I toured 6 different daycares before deciding on Morning Star and I can honestly say that from the moment we left our tour, we were 100% sure that Morning Star would be the best place for our child. Morning Star feels like an extension of our own style of parenting. We especially appreciate the diversity, education and experience of the teachers and staff. In the 5 years we have been there, we have barely seen any turnover. The values and curriculum are great. I’ve always felt my child is safe and well cared for, and the communication has always been wonderful. If you are considering Morning Star, I encourage to set up a tour and see for yourself what sets Morning Star apart from other well known childcare facilities.

I have loved having my kids at Morning Star for the last 3 years and counting. My older son just graduated from their Kindergarten program and it was a great experience! He loved Ms. Christine and is well prepared for first grade, especially with reading. When they started the “ABC countdown” to the last day of school, he was so upset that it was ending! But he is happily moved on with the excitement of summer camp.

My daughter has attended this school since she was 10 months old. I cannot give this child center enough praise. They have nurtured her, instilled confidence in her, taught her kindness, and most importantly sparked her passion for learning. She has a late summer birthday and I was concerned about her ability to handle the transition to kindergarten, therefore, I signed her up for the kindergarten at Morning Star. The class size was small which allowed her to form a wonderful bond with her peers and teacher and also gave her the opportunity for more one on one instruction. I was astonished by the end of the year with how far my child has progressed academically as well as socially!
